On 17th death annive­rsary, we rememb­er the undisp­uted queen of melody­Today is the 17th death anniversary of Malika-e-Tarannum Madam Noor Jehan. 1) Noor Jehan was born as Allah Wasai on September 21, 1926 in Kasur. 2) Noor Jehan started her musical career from Calcutta at the age of nine as a singer child star. 8) In 1957 Noor Jehan was awarded the President Award for her acting and singing capabilities. On December 23, 2000 Malika-e-Tarannum Noor Jehan died as a result of heart failure and is buried in Karachi.
