In Gazipur, four pedestrians were killed and two others injured when a truck overturned on them on the Dhaka- Mymensingh Highway in Sreepur upazila in the early morning hours. The victims, Saiful Islam, 25, Jahangir Hossain, 25, and Badsha Miya, 19, died instantly, while Rafiqul Islam, 53, died later in the morning, undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Maona Highway police station OC Monjur Hossain said: “Truck driver Badsha Sheikh was arrested and the vehicle seized.”In Magura, two people were killed when their motorcycle was rammed by a bus on the Magura-Jhenaidah Highway near Itkhola Bazaar. The deceased, Rabbi Bulbul, 30, and Johurul Islam, 28, died on the spot.
