Currently, 1,218 of patients – 400 in Dhaka and 818 in districts are taking treatment in hospitals. A total of 91,353 dengue patients have been hospitalized from January 1 to Oct 11, however 89,893 of them were released after treatment. During the period, Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) received information of 242 deaths across Bangladesh from dengue. Number of dengue patients still remains high in Khulna division as at least 74 patients were hospitalized in the division on Friday. The dengue outbreak this year reached all time high record in Bangladesh.
