Six foxes, one mongoose and two fishing cats colloquially known as 'Baghdasha' were the victims of such painful deaths, which triggered a social media outrage as photos of their bodies kept lined up went viral. There is a dense forest near Balipara village. Agitated by the incident, local youths gathered on Friday and launched an attack in the forest near the village, said Sylhet Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sajjad Hossain, quoting the local union parishad chairman on Friday. The DFO further said he is set to visit the forest on Saturday morning and take further actions after an investigation into the matter.
