A Chapainawabganj court has placed nine suspected members of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on remand. Senior Judge Shahidul Islam of Chief Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order when police produced them before the court Sunday with 7-day plea to interrogate them. Four militants including JMB leader Abu were killed in Operation Eagle Hunt on April 28. A case was filed with Shibganj police station after the drive. Meanwhile in Dhaka, Metropolitan Magistrate AHM Tuaha Sunday placed Abdus Sabur alias Hatkata Mahfuz on 7-day remand for police interrogation.
