The train will stop for a minute at stations such as Baiyappanahalli, Bellandur road halt station, Carmelaram, Heelalige and Anekal road station. Currently, there are about 10 trains that run on the Hosur-Yesvantpur and Hosur-Bengaluru City sections.“This is a great step from the Railways,” commuter rail activist Sanjeev Dyamannavar said. “It will help many more commuters to switch over to train services. “We wanted a train service to Whitefield from the city around 11am and another train to city from Whitefield at 8pm. The services introduced on Monday will not be of much use,” Sandeep Deshpande, a software professional, said.
