Peel regional police say eight people are facing charges following an investigation into a homicide last year in Mississauga, Ont. Police say 28-year-old Shane Thomas was gunned down on March 1, 2017, and died at the scene. A 23-year-old Mississauga man and a 24-year-old Brampton, Ont., woman are charged with first-degree murder. Facing charges of accessory after the fact are a 25-year-old Toronto man and five Mississauga residents -- three women, aged 25, 26 and 48, and two men, aged 24 and 49. Peel police say the arrests were made with the assistance of officers in London, Ont., Toronto, and Halton Region.
