77K Qatar work visas for OFWsSome 77,000 work visas are available for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in mostly highly skilled, technical jobs in Qatar, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Tuesday. “I acknowledge with appreciation the ongoing labor reforms of Qatar that will surely benefit its migrant worker population, including OFWs,” the ambassador was quoted as saying. He thanked the minister for the announcement and promised to assist Qatar in facilitating the recruitment of qualified OFWs. The two discussed various concerns confronting OFWs in Qatar. Al-Nuaimi extended an invitation to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello 3rd to visit Qatar.
