A joint enforcement operation yesterday at a coronavirus-hit block in a Sha Tin housing estate found 76 residents violated the compulsory testing notice. The Sha Tin District Office, Tin Sum Police Station, the Auxiliary Medical Service, the Hong Kong Housing Society and the relevant departments set up checkpoints at Ming Yan Lau of Jat Min Chuen in Sha Tin, ordering residents to show proof that they have complied with a mandatory testing notice or immediately take a test. ?The Sha Tin District Office said they are following up with the Department of Health. Officials thanked residents for their cooperation to compile with the compulsory testing notice. But we hope the residents can understand that this is for the purpose of achieving compulsory testing on mandatory basis and community clearing," a spokesperson of the Home Affairs Bureau said.
