70 per cent Kinango residents defecate in the bush


70 per cent of families in Kinango, Kwale county defecate in the bush, subcounty nutrition officer Margaret Kimeu has said. Kimeu was speaking to the Star on Saturday on the sidelines of a community sensitization programme on de-worming at Amani Primary School. She urged women to ensure they take their kids to clinic for Vitamin A and de-worming treatment after every six months. ECT coordinator Joseph Onyango, said the project was August last year and entails a mass drug administration programme. The project targets about one million children annually who will be receiving de-worming treatments and Vitamin A supplements.
