A lucky punter who bought a Lotto ticket in Timaru is now $7.5 million richer. The ticket, sold at the Countdown on Church St, gives the winner $7 million from Powerball first division and $250,000 from Lotto first division. It's the second big win this month, following a Tauranga winner taking home $5.5 million million earlier in the month. Three people from Auckland and Wellington will also be celebrating after winning $250,000 each with Lotto first division last night. Lotto said in a statement that anyone with a winning ticket should write their name on the back and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.
