Awami League activists had taken up positions near the SP Institute. Suddenly, the protesters marched towards Madhabdi town and the Awami League activists gave chase. At first the protesters moved aside, but then came back with reinforcements and gave chase to the Awami League activists. The Awami League activists retreated amid the chases and counter-chases.
