ITEE is the only national IT proficiency test in Bangladesh and students have been taking this exam here since 2013, said a press release. "ITEE has opened a window full of dreams by creating an opportunity for computer engineering students and IT engineers to take Japan’s largest national IT examination from Bangladesh and try their luck at Japan’s IT market,"the release added. The 50-year-old test usually takes place in April and October every year in eight Asian countries simultaneously. In two batches, 56 Bangladeshi students passed this exam in 2018, achieving first and third position in March and the first position in October in entire Asia. Apart from the test takers, IT students and faculty members from different universities, future candidates, representatives of Japanese and Bangladeshi IT companies, BASIS representatives, and senior officials of Jica were present at the event.
