Till Sunday 10pm, almost 70,000 people of 15,224 families in 53 villages of 13 unions under the four upazilas have been suffering from water-logging. Meanwhile, due to the rapid increase in flood waters, water is entering cropfields, roads, and educational institutions of the low-lying areas and flooding new areas. “Flood waters have entered 3,000 houses in these chars including Prajapatichar, Charshishua, Charnandanerpara, Amtali, and Kasharidoba." According to local sources, Babul Mia's son suddenly fell into the flood waters and disappeared.
