KAJANG: Students of higher learning institutions can now apply for a concession card that entitles them to a 50 per cent discount on all rail and bus rides, Higher Education Minister, Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said on Wednesday. “This will also encourage more students who commute between their home and higher learning institutions to take advantage of this public transportation mode,” said Idris when met by reporters at the launch of the concession card at the Stadium Kajang MRT station. The 50 per cent discount on fare rate per travel is applicable to RapidKL Bus, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT), Monorail, and all MRT lines. He also presented concession cards to various higher learning institutions students who boarded the train with him from the TRX MRT station and alighted at the Stadium Kajang MRT station. Students can apply for the concession card at the Central Market central bus station for the price of RM15 to enjoy all public transport facilities managed by Prasarana Sdn Bhd.
