Wisma Putra: Malaysians in Zimbabwe safe - Nation

PETALING JAYA: All Malaysians residing in Harare, Zimbabwe are currently safe amidst the increasingly tense political situation there, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry said it is monitoring closely the political and military developments there through the Embassy of Malaysia in Zimbabwe's capital city. "Malaysians intending to travel to Zimbabwe in the immediate future are advised to defer non-essential travel until further notice," it said in a statement on Wednesday (Nov 15). Malaysians in Zimbabwe were also advised to remain indoors and to avoid crowded places as well as night travel. Zimbabwe's military seized power early on Wednesday targeting "criminals" around President Robert Mugabe although they gave assurances that the 93-year-old leader and his family were "safe and sound".
