Alberta has reached a significant milestone in its COVID-19 immunization campaign with more than 5 million doses of vaccines administered. The province announced Monday that 5,056,062 doses of vaccines had been administered as of the end of day Sunday. "Every dose of vaccine that's administered increases our protection against COVID-19," Premier Jason Kenney said in a news release. The news comes as the province reported 130 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, compiling three days of data. On Friday there were 579 active cases in Alberta, and as of Monday's update there are 605.
