A report by KBC indicated Apida estate official Consolata Odongo said the children were found in the village kilometres away from Migori town. According to Odongo, the children are now being questioned by the police on how they got into the far-flung village. Apida estate residents association chairperson Ogutu George said they were happy the children were found and wanted to know the truth about how they reached Kopanga.
