A 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit northeast India on Tuesday morning, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. The epicentre of the earthquake was in Myanmar and regions across the India-Myanmar border felt the tremors. The earthquake occurred at 0741 hrs and there are no immediate reports of any casualties.
