AT least 41 individuals allegedly linked to cybersex syndicates were arrested by the Philippine National Police's (PNP) Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) in Valenzuela City and Batangas on Tuesday. According to the report, a concerned citizen tipped authorities about suspicious activities in these areas via E-ACCESS (Enhanced, Anti-Cybercrime Campaign, Education, Safety and Security). The suspects are now under the custody of Valenzuela City Police Station, Lipa City Police Station and Sto. Tomas City Police Station and face charges for violating Republic Act (RA) 10175 or the "Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012". Launched on July 8, the PNP E-ACCESS is the latest and advanced online verification platform in response to the increasing number of cybercrimes.
