The accused was apprehended following a complaint and has been sent to a correction home, they added. Her parents told the police that the accused entered their residence when the victim and her seven-year-old sister were alone at home. “He allegedly asked the elder sister to get him something from the market, and used the opportunity to allegedly rape the four-year-old and fled. When the elder sister and mother returned home, they found the child crying,” said Pankaj Pant, Station House Officer, Sector 49 police station.
