Unidentified miscreants have vandalised four idols at a Durga puja pandal in Dinajpur’s Birganj upazila. Birganj police station Officer-in-Charge Abu Akkas said some miscreants had vandalised the heads of four idols at Sanatanpara Durga puja pandal in Sujalpur village sometime around early hours on Monday. A general diary (GD) was filed after the incident. The law enforcers were still trying to arrest the perpetrators while steps had been taken to guard the puja pandals in the upazila well into the night during the Durga puja, added the OC.
