A dark blue pickup truck adapted for use as a school bus was hit head-on by a white pickup truck about one kilometre from Wat Wang Chompoo. He was on a downhill curve when hit by the white pickup, which was travelling uphill and trying to overtake another vehicle. Mr Prida was slightly injured, while the driver of the white pickup was reported in a stable condition. Prida Brutnok, 43, the driver of the school truck, told police he was taking the students from a village on the mountain down to Ban Wang Chompoo School.
