The Housing and Public Works Ministry has suspended three engineers for their alleged irregularities in tree felling at Uttara Ganabhaban. The three Public Works Department engineers are-executive engineer Moshiur Rahman Akand, deputy divisional engineer Ziaur Rahman and deputy assistant engineer Kamruzzaman. A letter, signed by Housing and Public Works secretary Shahid Ullah reached the deputy commissioner’s office on Thursday evening. Earlier, the authorities concerned of Uttara Ganabhaban sold some dead trees in an auction. After investigation, the probe committee found involvement of six people in the irregularities.
