Anwar Hossain was killed early on Friday at the Kumarkhali Upazila after being caught in a cross-fire between criminals and law enforcers, said Kumarkhali police OC Abdul Khalek. The 27-year-old was wanted for the murder of expatriate Rakibul Islam of the same Upazila. Police later recovered a rope, blood-stained clothes and a sack used for the murder from Hossain's home, the police officer told bdnews24.com. Hossain was shot during the exchange of firing and taken to Kushtia Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, according to OC Khalek. Another suspect of the murder, Shahin Ali was killed in a similar incident after his arrest on the night of Oct 12, according to police.
