THREE out of five Filipinos believed that their quality of life got worse since the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic started, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey. SWS added that the net gainers score had been historically lower among the poor than among the borderline poor and not poor. But from December 2019 to November 2020, the net gainers score fell for all groups. Compared to December 2019, among the poor, the net gainers score fell from +8 (high) to -57 (catastrophic). The SWS survey, conducted using face-to-face interviews nationwide, had sampling error margins of ±2.5 percent for national percentages, ±4 percent for Balance Luzon, and ±6 percent for Metro Manila, the Visayas and Mindanao.
