In its advisory on Saturday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Star 8 Green Technology Corp. released three models of the modern jeepneys namely the Mini E-Jeepney, the E-Jeepney, and the Citiline. The modern PUVs have a seating capacity of 15 to 23 passengers, depending on the model. “A modern public utility vehicle (PUV) that runs on an eco-friendly engine is what the future of public transportation should be,” the DOTr said.
