Women no longer regarded as less competent than men: study 0 SHARES Share it! Share TweetBy XinhuaCHICAGO — A nationally representative study of gender stereotypes in the United States shows that women are no longer regarded as less competent than men on average. But among those who see a difference, most see women as more competent than men. In the most recent poll conducted in April 2018, 86 percent of the respondents said men and women are equally intelligent. The researchers note that different groups of respondents — men, women, racial subgroups — generally agree about these stereotypes.
