MANILA, Philippines — Despite the holidays, police continued the war on drugs as three persons were apprehended in separate stings in Quezon City that yielded P13,600 worth of shabu, an official said yesterday. Ford Ian Espiritu, 42, and Marvin Pasilao, 28, were nabbed by anti-narcotics officers in Barangay San Agustin. Espiritu and Pasilao allegedly sold a sachet of shabu for P500 to a policeman who posed as a buyer, according to Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo, director of the Quezon City Police District. Meanwhile, suspected gunrunner Omar Palty Jr., 26, was collared in Barangay North Fairview after he allegedly sold a loaded .45-caliber handgun to a police officer for P10,000.
