The Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed the matter in a briefing on Monday. Till date, eight cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bangladesh. Moreover, all educational institutions across Bangladesh will be shut from March 18 till 31, in an effort to stem the spread of coronavirus in the country. A coronavirus tracker map from John Hopkins University showed there were more than 170,002 confirmed cases worldwide on Monday, with the death toll topping 6,523.
