PORT DICKSON: Three men were arrested following the discovery of RM13 million by Sabah Immigration Department during an operation at a hotel in Kota Kinablu yesterday. Immigration director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali said two of the men were locals and another was a Filipino, aged between 30 and 50. The operation had also led to the discovery of 17 foreign women, believed to be victims of a prostitution syndicate operating in Sabah. "We believe the trio are middlemen for the syndicate and further investigations are now being conducted by the department," he said. During the operation dubbed “Ops Gegar”, the RM13 million was confiscated from two locations.
