PETALING JAYA: The latest developments in information and communication technology should be harnessed to further empower the country’s education sector. Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said this is important, as the education sector plays a crucial role in realising Malaysia’s vision to become a high-income developed nation. Aliah was representing Mahdzir at the 2017 KL EdTech Day, an educational technology conference for teachers. Mahdzir also said that all Malaysians should be given access to quality education, beginning from pre-school. ‘The Ministry’s priority is to ensure that access to education (is open to all Malaysians) using existing technologies,” he added.
