Around 3,000 people are without power due to a power outage in Toronto’s east end early Thursday morning, Toronto Hydro said. At the height of the power outage, 6,000 customers on the east end were affected, Martin said. “It's a complicated repair so it's taking longer than expected,” Jessica Martin, Toronto Hydro spokesperson, told the Star. The cause of the power outages is due to an equipment problem near a transfer station, Toronto Hydro said. There is no estimated time of restoration, according to Toronto Hydro.
