27 Rohingya Hindus return to Myanmar

At least 27 Rohingya Hindus have reportedly returned to Myanmar recently. Babul Sharma, coordinator of the temporary Rohingya Hindu shelter at Kutupalong, told the Dhaka Tribune that the 27 Rohingya Hindus, who left the camp on September 29 to observe the Bijaya Dashami, had not returned. The 27 refugees had reportedly crossed Ghumdhum border in Naikkhangchhari to return to Myanmar, he added. Ukhiya police station Officer-in-Charge Md Abul Khair said they had been informed about the return of 27 Rohingya Hindus in Myanmar. Most of the Rohingya Hindus now living at the temporary shelter arrived in Bangladesh between August 24 and August 29 along with thousands of Rohingya Muslims amid the recent military crackdown of Myanmar forces in Rakhine State.
