Out of the 61,000 schools, 47,000 schools are DepEd schools,” she added. For School Year 2019-2020, 2,330,099 are enrolled in kindergarten, 13,271,598 in elementary, 8,527,055 in junior high school and 3,087,646 in senior high school. The DepEd also expects higher enrolment in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) curriculum.
