The Philippine National Police (PNP) has filed charges against 24 persons for sharing fake news during the coronavirus emergency. PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa on Friday said 20 incidents of fake news had been recorded since the start of the enhanced community quarantine. Recently, a Facebook post reported an incident in which police raided The Medical City in Pasig City and confiscated personal protective equipment (PPE). Bernard Banac said a special group of cyberpatrols would help track down the purveyors of fake news.
