Detectives from the Homicide unit on Tuesday managed to exhume 21 bodies from the grave sites in the Shakahola scene forest. Coast Regional Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha said so far 133 bodies have been exhumed even as the second phase of exhumation started. In the Daily Brief, the Regional Commissioner said they managed to rescue five people which brings to 68 those who have been rescued since the operation started. “We have a number of things going on, there are search and rescue teams that are working day and night. We have investigations going on and of course, we have phase two of exhumations which began on Tuesday,” she said.
