Over 120 children from All India Confederation of Blind (AICB) school in Gurgaon congregated at the AICB office campus in Rohini to celebrate Louis Braille's 209th birthday. He managed to secure admission for Aarti in the AICB-run special school four years ago, but he says not all blind children are lucky to receive such high-quality education. "We stay in Delhi so we found the means to send Aarti to a special school. There are over 11 lakh blind children between 6 to 18 years in India, he says. We have printed and distributed books worth Rs 80 lakh through AICB press including magazines, comics and novels.
