While Britain has a reputation for its miserable weather, the Met Office has also confirmed that 2025 was the sunniest year on record. Both Spring and Summer 2025 were also the UK's warmest on record. Dr Samantha Burgess, deputy director of C3S, agreed with the Met Office that climate change is largely to blame.
