However, he said China would continue to uphold the principles of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, as well as the vision of a shared future. This, he said, outlined Beijing's foreign policy direction guided by the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity. "The Spring Festival is a festival of family reunion and symbolises harmony and happiness when ushering in the new year," he said, adding that it had become a global cultural event. He added that in recent years, the Spring Festival was designated as a United Nations holiday and later inscribed on Unesco's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
