They will be joined by Mawuli Senior High School, who also confirmed their status as semi-finalists after going past West Africa Senior High School. This year's competition is billed to be one of the toughest in recent times, with Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (Presec Legon), Adisadel College, Kumasi Senior High School and Mfantsipim Senior High School all in the running for the ultimate. The 2017 National Science and Maths Quiz has already seen some mighty schools fall, and the remaining contesting schools will be hoping not to toll the same line. Pope John Senior High School were surprisingly eliminated in the quarter-finals despite being tipped by many as outright favourites.
