Police have detained two teachers of a coaching centre from Bhuapur upazila, Tangail, on charges of their involvement in leaking question papers for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams. The detainees were identified as Russel Parvez, 38, and Shahidul Islam, 28. The mobile phones of both teachers have been confiscated, as they were used to circulate the leaked question papers for the religious education exam, from the Bagabari and Beltola areas of the upazila respectively, on Thursday morning. Bhuapur police station Officer-in-Charge Abdus Salam Chowdhury said the leaked question papers found to have been circulated on Facebook from the phones of Parvez and Shahidul are identical to the one given to the SSC examinees who sat for Thursday’s exam. Police are in the process of taking legal action against the detainees.
