Florida may not be known for snow, but Olympic skier Tess Johnson still enjoys plenty of support here in The Villages — especially this month. Johnson, one of just 14 athletes named to the 2018 U.S. Olympic Freestyle Ski Team, will begin competing in South Korea on Friday. During an interview in November, Johnson told NBC Olympics that a successful Olympics experience for her would be achieving a top-six finish in South Korea. “Her dream was making the Olympics, and she’s achieved that,” Steve said. She’s been to the Olympics, and she probably will go (again) in four years.”Tyler Breaman is a staff writer with The Villages Daily Sun.
