The incident occurred near a Beribadh checkpost in front of Modhu city around 2:30am on Monday. Meanwhile, two other RAB officials were also injured: Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) Kasem and ASI Nazrul Islam. RAB 2 Superintendent of Police Mohiuddin Faruque told the Dhaka Tribune that the “gunfight” was among a covered van driver, a helper and RAB. RAB seized seven tons of tea from the covered van.
