Four people, including two policemen, have been arrested from Dumuria upazila of Khulna on charge of snatching Tk9.15 lakh from a cattle trader. The arrestees are Assistant Sub-inspector Abdur Rowf Biswas and Constable Md Nadim of Bagerhat, and truck driver Monir Sardar and his assistant Raju Ghosh of Satkhira sadar upazila. On their way home, Rowf and Nadim, introducing themselves as detectives, intercepted the cattle traders and conducted a search in the vehicle carrying them. The two policemen took away Tk9.15 lakh from them at gun point and speeded away by a motorcycle, the statement reads. During their drive on Wednesday, law enforcers, however, recovered Tk619,500 from Rowf and Nadim, and Tk35,500 from Monir, said Nizamul.
