SAN PEDRO CITY – A suspected illegal drug pusher was killed in a police operation in Tanza town in Cavite province early Saturday. Joseph Orantia, who was identified by the police as a drug personality, was slain around 1 a.m. in Barangay Capipisa. Dhefry Punzalan, Tanza police chief, said Orantia resisted arrest after selling P200 worth of alleged shabu (crystal meth) to undercover policemen. He said the police shot Orantia when he began to open fire. In San Mateo, Rizal, drug suspect Philip Maquera was killed in a buy-bust operation around 1 p.m. Friday in Barangay Silangan.
