17-year-old injured in Bay of Plenty trail rideThe Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was sent to assist a 17-year-old who had broken his leg in the Bay of Plenty. A 17-year-old boy has broken his leg at a trial ride in the Bay of Plenty. The boy was helping to set up an event when he fell off his bike on Saturday. The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was sent to the scene at Taneatua, just after 2pm. He was riding down a steep hill, when he went over the handlebars and broke his leg.
