$150,000 in jewelry stolen from downtown Toronto store


A downtown Toronto jewelry shop is out $150,000 in goods after a break-in at their store on Jan. 22. A man dressed in construction clothing broke into the shop near Richmond St. W. and York St., and stole “several pieces of jewelry,” Toronto police say. The suspect was seen walking west on Adelaide St. at around 8:20 p.m. that evening. Police have released security footage that shows the man walking through a hallway, dressed in a green vest and hard hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5200.
