15-year-old arrested over suspected arson


A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly setting up a fire at a police vehicle in Prince Edward last night. Police said officers on a police vehicle were patrolling at the intersection of Nathan Road and Boundary Street when four people threw petrol bombs and plastic tubes with nails at 11.15pm last night. The petrol bombs did not hit the vehicle but ignited when landed on the ground. The 15-year-old teenager was arrested at the spot, he was found with a suspected petrol bomb, a lighter, glass bottles and the plastic tubes fitted with nails. The case was classified as arson and intent to damage property.
