George Capistrano, 56, a retired police officer and resident of Barangay 134 in Manila, was declared dead on arrival at the Tondo Medical Center. Based on closed-circuit television footage, Capistrano was on a motorcycle when the assailants fired at him. Authorities said an investigation is underway to determine the motive for the killing and identify the assailants.
